woo I just ran a mile, did 60 jumping jacks, a brief amount of weight training, and pushups and sit ups. I feel GREAT!

when i was that age i wanted to be like my cousin.. i loved her to pieces... she had red hair, glasses and braces... so i dyed my hair red, and was so happy when i got braces .... lol never quite worked out with the glasses tho..

I can't remember how old i was when i had braces..i think i had them from 12 - 14. I hated them and they hurt when they changed the wire and my teeth have gone wonky again because of when my wisdom teeth came through, so it was all pointless.

yep same her i had 5 loose braces and one permanent one.. 2 or 3 years ago they told me my wisdom teeth need to be removed cause my teeth don't have enough room otherwise.. so i let them take am out and now after about 15 years of teeth improving marathon me teeth are pushing each other in every direction possible.

I got them when I was 12 or 13 I think...had them for about 2 years. Then my wisdom teeth came in and fucked them up my bottom teeth. The bastards.

if this is the story for loads of people why do they waste all our time, energy and money!!! I had the removable braces before and after the perminant one I think, those are the nastiest things ever. and before that they glued a little hook to one tooth and i had to attach an elastic band onto it to another brace or hook or something, that was a pain. And did anyone find that like all the enamel got ripped off in a square when they had perminant braces off? I had pink & baby blue bands on the brace though!

nobody gave me any choice in all this either! unstraight teeth are not life threatening

this is no joke, I work with a lady who has crooked teeth. They look just fine to me but apparently they don't meet everyone elses standards. Behind her back EVERYONE at work asks me things like "whats up with (so & so)? She IS kinda pretty but her teeth are fucked up" or "She looks nice. Teeth are kinda fucked up though." (a lot of people think we are a couple because we work and eat lunch together.)
Even her kids call her "la wampira" (the vampire.)

She's extremely shy and KNOWS her teeth aren't perfect looking (they are clean and more or less white, they're just not very straight.)
Because of this she is uncomfortable smiling. If someone makes her laugh (or manages to work a smile out of her) she'll either visibly struggle to bite down on her lip to keep from flashing her teeth, or she'll cover her mouth with her hand.

She's in her 30's and it sucks to see adults acting like kids about something like this. :< Just because her teeth aren't PERFECT she's made fun of.

I wish I had gotten braces when I was younger. Instead I got this enormous torture device I had to wear all the time and it made it so I couldn't close my mouth properly when it was out and I couldn't open my mouth at all when it was in. I stopped wearing it, so my one crooked tooth (in the front) is still crooked. I went through a phase where I was ok with how my teeth looked, but it didn't last long. As far as I know, nobody makes fun of me, but I'm still uncomfortable smiling, laughing, or talking. If I had insurance, I still don't think I'd get braces though. Then I'd feel awkward being an adult with braces. I'll just wait until the fall out. At least my dentures will be straight.

I wouldn't worry about it so much. You got one crooked tooth? Supposing I were talking to someone and I said something that made them smile. No matter how many crooked teeth they had, I'd be pleased enough with myself that I made this person smile that even if I did notice their crooked teeth I wouldn't care.

I KNOW IT'S CORNY but I'm telling the truth, the significance of a smile has been lost these days, people got their heads in the clouds.

I think I just got mine too early. But then again if everyone waited until their wisdom teeth came through everyone would be adults when they got braces.

I got mine before my wisdom teeth.. I don't think it matters too much as long as you get your wisdoms out before they do any real damage. Mine didn't shift my teeth at all!

It's pretty bad though. People think I have a large gap, but my one tooth is tucked behind the other one, so it sticks out in the front. It sucks a lot when I get hit in the mouth (I'm pretty clumsy, so it happens a lot) my tooth always cuts my lip. No matter how hard it hits.

I think I know what you mean. One of my cousins has a couple of teeth that have grown in behind (or in front of) other teeth.

The only thing I ever find really disgusting about teeth is people who never brush and have extreme fuzzy bunny slippers, or people who have blackened and missing teeth. It's so fucking disgusting.

Braces were suggested to me but I declined. My biting is only slightly wrong, the minor aesthetic oddities do not bother me (I'm actually rather fond of them, I think their cute) and I already dislike my face so to add ugly and [i:1mbruu3r]very[/i:1mbruu3r] visible metal things in my mouth would be quite devastating.

My mother says I might get problems when I'm middle-aged, but I won't worry about those headaches before they actually begin. [i:1mbruu3r]If[/i:1mbruu3r] they begin at all.

I think I have a tiny overbite? like my top set of teeth don't match up completely with the bottom set, they are like less then 5 mm forward. I had a tooth that grew in that was over another tooth so they took the tooth under it out, oooh thats why i had the little hook thing, to make it grow down into the space.

My teeth are pretty straight apart from one of my front teeth that is slightly wonky and overlapping the tooth next to it but you can't notice unless you look, I hate my teeth though. I think its maybe my smile i dont like, my full on smile is biiig and you can see all my gums lol not helping my cool factor here. Tend to smile with my mouth shut. The only option for me would be to get fake teeth, never having a brace again!

It's so sad when people DON'T take care of their teeth... it's so easy to do, and so worthwhile!

I got braces when I was 11 or 12....so thankful I had them. Then I got wisdom teeth taken out so I never have to worry about it. My best friend got an infection in one of her teeth and it was awful. Weeks to recover fully, puffy cheeks, and the works.

I dont think everyone has to have perfectly straight teeth. Snagle tooths, yellow teeth, bucked teeth...umm get it fixed. Europeans are notorious for having bad teeth aka yellow teeth but surprisingly appalachian rednecks have them beat.

My dentist said I shouldn't have any problems with my wisdom teeth because of how they were positioned on my x-rays. WRONG. But it's done now, I just have one tooth on the bottom that's a bit further back than the rest. I don't really care about it though I guess, can't really see it unless I draw peoples attention to it.

Even though my teeth were straightened, having them shift just a little back to the way they were made my mouth more comfortable in the long run. I had a big gap in my teeth, now I have a little little one that I don't mind at all!

I went to Warped Tour today. I saw Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag and Bad Religion.

Mostly just Bad Religion is what matters, though.

yeaaah.. i don't like his voice and accent at all... and if the voice is bad, the whole band won't make up for it....
i saw him on buzzcocks and the way he talks made me cringe.
