Nobody knows what happened. She ran in to the woods all of a sudden, threw my sister off and disappeared. When she got back a little while later both her front legs were broken. If a horse breakes a leg you have to put it to sleep. So unfair. It's like I wish she was sick or something. Losing my baby because she broke two bones is just such so ridiculous. Makes it hard to accept that she is gone. She is.. dead.. It's so strange. I don't think I realized yet just what that means.

Well, surgery today! I don't want to, and there is nobody there to hold my hand.

A tumor on my hand. I got 4 anesthesia shots, they hurt like fucking HELL. But then I didn't feel a thing. Almost fell asleep, the surgery took a while. Today I woke up and felt the pain. DAMN, the pain.... =( My hand is shaking.

Was it from tendinitis?

Kelly, it wasn't tendinitis. Remember when I broke my hand a few years ago? Well, it healed wrong, so a big lump filled with fluid grew on my hand. (YUMMY with ace ventura's voice) Now it's gone, but I regret it right now. I was gonna clean the wound last night, and looked at it for the first time. OH MY GOD. There was blood, and the stitches looked like a dead spider under my skin. I fainted.... My boyfriend freaked out, haha... He had to clean it, he almost threw up. It looks so gross.

Ooh, that sounds scary! I don't know what I would do if something happened to one of my hands. I once got a cut on the tip of one of my fingers that disabled me from playing the guitar for a week or two and I went mad!

Snow birds are what we call the people who live in snowy places in the summertime, and here in the wintertime.

We always get the people who are here for the summer, but leave for winter. I'm pretty sure we just call them annoying.

Haha, I'm one of them from time to time! But I have a good reason for going there, not just to escape the scorching heat.

It's mostly the people that try to take over while they're here that's annoying. At my dad's house, there are a few people who built gigantic houses next door, but are only there in the summer. Then they'll complain if the kids are outside playing too loud, or if one of their animals are outside, my dad's dog will bark and they'll get mad about it.

In Scottsdale (which is a snooty area of Phoenix, we call it Snobsdale), they are making it illegal to leave your dog out in the middle of the night. The neighbors can complain and the police will come and take your dog away from you.

What the fuck. That's lame.

I don't think we get snow birds here (in this small town) but I've noticed over the past year or so that drivers that aren't from Texas fucking suck at driving in Texas. They get in my way and drive slow. I'm sitting behind them going COME ON TENNESSEE GET OUT OF MY WAY YOU DICK I'M TRYING TO SPEED HERE.

A friend of mine got rear ended. The guy was mexican and he was flipping out, "No, please don't call the police! I'll pay for it, I have cash!" So she was like okay whatever. She knew how much it cost because she'd gotten rear ended before. So the dude gave her $400. When she got home, she took her husband outside to show him, and the thing popped out as she was driving. She got $400 for free.

I'll summarize for any who don't want to read.
I won't use any names because, srsly, Vietnamese people don't fuck around when it comes to names.

This took place in 1963. The Buddhist monk was protesting the persecution of Buddhists by the current President Deim, of South Vietnam.
Self-immolation is not uncommon among Buddhist monks. This particular monk volunteered. He was driven to a busy intersection in Saigon, where a pillow was placed on the floor for him. He sat down in the lotus position. Two other monks doused him in gasoline. He said a quick prayer, then lit himself on fire with a match. He sat perfectly still and calm as he burned to death.
The fire burned itself out within 5 minutes. His body was burned into the lotus position. The attending monks gathered up his body and took it to be cremated. After the cremation, it was discovered that though his entire body had been burned to ash, his heart remained in one piece. This was seen as a sign of compassion, and the monk was given the status of Bodhisattva (a being of enlightenment).

I found it to be very moving.
