They're also normally unaware that Green Day have a past beyond American Idiot.

I don't like Green Day, not anymore... although Smooth - Dookie were brilliant, after that there's a couple of songs per album I like y'ken, Brat, Blood Sex And Booze, Misery, Nice Guys Finish Last... etc.

The interviews with them annoy me for some reason.

aah Green Day, they used to be one of my favourite bands. Well they still are and although being a fan of their american idiot stuff I still prefer their pre-Nimrod stuff, notably Dookie and Kerplunk!. I've just been gradually listening to them less and less I suppose. I've seen them 3 times, I rate them pretty highly but yeah their fanbase has er... well

When I went to Milton Keynes I managed to get into the front bit *score* and there was this particualr group of kids in the pit with their mum, probably about 12, with t-shirts saying 'i love green day' on them threatening to punch anyone that "jumped" (don't stand there?!) near them and in the end had to be hauled out by security because they didn't like it... they only really went a bit mad on the stuff off american idiot... argh it's just a bit annoying, Green Day is like a 'fad' for a lot of them

they used to be my favoret band but when American Idiot can out it was soooo popular i hated it cause all you would here if you turned on the radio was American Idiot and so all the little teenies stared likeing them which made them think they were punk cause they listen to green day, so they started dressing like they were badass. i somewhat blam green day for all the posers and emos there are now. also i asked some girl who was wereing a green day kurplunk shirt (it didn't say kurplunk it just had the flower on it) and asked her what green day cd's she had well no big surprise when she said American Idiot. I asked her if sje knew were the flower on her shirt came from she said no. Well i hate American Idiot but i love Kerplunk, Nimrod, and Warning.

i dont mind some of their really early stuff, some of its decent, but the fact that half the kids i know from school claim to be hardcore punks because there greendays 'number 1 fans' although theyve only got american idiot.

thats what pisses me off about them.

oh and billie joe is not as good looking as people make out.

I think the same discussion could be done abot Good Charlotte.
The were better at lifestyle of the rich and the famous' (think this is the right title :unsure: ) time.
