How do you get rid of hair?

Shave, wax etc.?

I tend to get red dots where my hairs used to be when I shave, so I still can't get my legs out :( plus, cause my hairs are quite dark, you can see the rest of the hair underneath my pale skin.

So I think I'm going to wax, but in the past i've always had trouble with random hairs that are growing a different direction or aren't long enough to wax yet, so I never get completely smooth legs.

Someone help pretty please?

I shave. I've waxed, too, but shaving is more convenient for me.

I'm kind of hoping to try the laser treatment one day if I can afford it.

I shave, the hairs on my legs are so fine that wax doesn't do anything, not home wax crap anyway. My hairs are also really blonde but I do get all bumpy chicken leg looking. Shaving after you've had a shower rather then shaving first then showering gives the water a chance to open up pores, then put on lots of moisteriser after.

What about that Veet stuff? I don't like it and it didn't work very well and it smelt like shit but that might work for you? (apart from the smell)

i epilate. it feels great. like a really, slow, painful wax. i just did my legs today because it's getting COLD here so i'm not bothering anymore. i hate shaving because it never feels nice. i've never shaved for a continued period - only emergencies - since i was 12 lol. i was given the choice of waxing or shaving and i took waxing. bless my mum.

home waxing is SHIT! get it done by someone. plus waxing lasts at least a week of nice smoothness. after about two-three weeks you should bother getting it done again.

That Veet foam stuff is terrible for you, done use it. may as well shave, it does the same thing but it burns the hair off.. sooo.. i reckon that if you're that sensitive to shaving it probably isn't the greatest route to take.

If i can i wax, shaving never felt nive for me because in 2-3 days the hair was already out again, with wax i can be almost a month without having to do nothing to my legs
I have also pale skin and my hair is dark and with wax i have no problems :)

actually getting on a bus, going to a shop and having to wait, and then having someone else wax and getting my money for it is more of a pain then shaving...and I wouldn't like them to wax over my tattoo, I dunno why, it's 2 years old but I dont like the idea of them going over it even though i shave over it...maybe when I manage to get a job I'd go for a wax.

i shave my legs downwards, that way i dont get any sort of rash but the downside is that you dont get a close shave as you would shaving up.

I ended up epilating. It hurt, but it worked, I just need to wait for the tiny hairs to get long enough to rip out, but you can't see them now, so I can get my legs out, and no rash!

I bought some ladies shaving gel (Gillette aloe vera) and used it today :o amazing. I usually miss hairs but I got them all so either it helps you get a closer shave or the razor was sharp or I could just tell where id been and not missed any...made my skin feel nice too.

i always cut myself when i shave my legs (usually quite a few nicks). like alllllways.
either i do it too fast or something, even if the razor is sharp or dull.
i just fail at it or something lol

I always shave my legs because waxing them hurts way too much.I am very pale (even paler than Brody), but I'm lucky that I'm natural blond so I don't have that many hair on legs or arms, and the ones I have are blond so you can't see them.Only problem with shaving is that I always cut.So this summer i had problem when I made deep cut by accident on my tattoo on leg.I'm lucky that I haven't fuck it up badly.

If you don't want these red spots on legs then you mustn't shave legs, those red spots are from shaving.Better use some cream for taking hair off or buy that machine for taking hair off.

The cream gives me the spots too. I used the epilator. Its good but it doesn't get all the hairs, and sometimes just rips them off at the skin, instead of ripping them out, which seems to make the skin go hard where my hair used to be. So I get tiny hard bumps instead. I prefer this though cause you can't see them, you only notice if you touch them.

I got used to the pain quickly, and I have NO pain threshold.

I usually have to shave after epilating to get the fine hairs the epilator missed. I've found using oil (olive oil or almond oil or whatever) on my legs and leaving it for five minutes or so softens the hairs and gives a better result. Using oil instead of cream doesn't clog up the razor as quick either.
