paypal is the best form of payment i think and yes a debit card can be used to set it up.

i set up mine on ebay and paypal is the most commom form of accepted payment on there.

some other websites also accept paypal but you can even use your debit card to make a one-off payment too.

for example if you are buying something online from tesco you can pay with your debit card - they just need details such as sort code, card no. expiry date, etc.....

paypal is completly safe and the only info you give out is some card details but when you actually buy something via paypal on ebay the person that you're buying off don't ever get to see these details, they just get the money transferred into their account, its paypal who are responsible for keeping these deatails secure.

i've had a paypal account for years and had no problems.

if you want to pay one-off payments with your debit card though be sure its a genuine company you are ordering from, like play.com or amazon, things like that.
