Honestly it wasnt a mistake smoking. I'm a pothead myself. He's just a dumbass who let someone take a picture of him smoking. I mean, if your famous or even remotely famous, why would you let someone take a picture of you doing something illegal? Whoever took that picture probably just made a nice chunk of change selling it, though.

"Drug harm can be equal to harms in other parts of life. There is not much difference between horse-riding and ecstasy. This attitude raises the critical question of why society tolerates - indeed encourages - certain forms of potentially harmful behaviour but not others such as drug use," he wrote.

Professor Nutt claimed that ecstasy is less dangerous than other Class A drugs such as heroin and cocaine in a report last year.

The ACMD, however, has distanced itself from Professor Nutt's comments, with a spokesman saying: "The recent article by Professor David Nutt published in the Journal Of Psychopharmacology was done in respect of his academic work and not as chair of the ACMD. I had a friend who did a lot of X, I didnt like it and told here I didnt like it because I had saw on a show once a girl who did X and after doing it for so long, found out from doctor that it had been causing holes to develop in her brain.

So pretty much what your saying is, because I smoke weed, I'm stupid? Well, tell that to the state of NJ because according to them I'm pretty damn smart. On some standardized testing thing I scored 2nd highest in the state for creative writing, Science and History. Now you may not like weed, but that doesnt mean what you believe to be true really is. Now, I dont know about other people, but I have a hard time concentrating. When I smoke I'm able to concentrate much better.

I guess I kind of understand, if people have never smoked, why they would have misconceptions about it. Pot is very misrepresented. And I not only disagree that pot makes you less intellectual....I truly believe that I have much more to offer intellectually [i:3k92pgls]because of[/i:3k92pgls] what smoking opened up my mind to. It's true that pot makes you way forgetful and has some qualities that people might consider negative, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't worth it. Smoking pot does not mean becoming a dumbass. I know that I am forgetful because I smoke, and so I take responsibility for that and find ways to work around it. I write myself notes, I give myself more discipline, and probably work harder in general, than I would if I didn't smoke.

Holla! I'm in college for writing..and we have this MCAS standardized test in MASS that you need to pass in order to graduate High School, and I ended up with scholarships for mine. I totally managed a perfect score on the English and writing portion. And still advanced for the other. In my opinion, pot only improves my writing. It makes me all about the adjectives, haha.

My brother is 33, and he's been smoking, pssh as long as I can remember and he got, well dumb. His memory is pretty bad now and he just doesn't think...sad really, but oh well its his life.

I have several friends who are older are just complete burn outs. It is to the point where its just sad and pathetic and I can't be around them because it is depressing.

However, I will say this, there are people who do it and manage to not be complete bums but for the most part I find them all worthless.

Yes but your generalizing all people who smoke like I'd be generalizing all gay people. Me and all my friends can smoke and still have a full conversation. Like a few hours ago for instance, we were smoking and talking about newtons 2nd law. Not all people who smoke become stupid, just ones that let themselves become stupid. And yes I choose to do drugs like you choose not to. I choose not to eat meat and you probably do, I don't go around telling you your going to eventually have a heart attack from it because not everyone will have a heart attack from eating meat just like not everyone who smokes becomes a burnout.

But Im saying your analogies dont match. The meat one was much better in terms its a choice which directly affects the body. Obviously, it would depend on how much meat I ate in that time span, genetics, and my current heart health.

Exactly the same thing with weed. It would depend on how much you smoke, genetics (whether you have a high tolerance or not) and honestly how much you weigh. It takes less to get a tiny girl high then it does to take a normal sized person, or a bigger person. And as for brain cells, it doesnt turn everyone into a burnout just the ones who do nothing but smoke. Now, I smoke about 2 times a day. If I have school, I'll smoke before and later on, and if i have work ill smoke after, but i'm not a burnout, and the majority of the people i hang out with arent burnouts.

My cousin has been smoking 25 years and isn't a burnout. And I'll keep smoking because, like I said, it helps me to calm down and concentrate on things and I feel more comfortable when I'm high. It's kinda the same thing with alcohol, It effects everyone differently. Weed just has a good effect on me. And you ask why take the chance of becoming a burnout, well, why take the chance of eating meat and having a heart attack? With anything you do theres a chance of something bad happening to you, but people do it anyway. Besides, no one lives forever.
