Where can I get music?

I just went to my brother's house to download some songs (he uses limewire.)

I know Limewire is shitty, but I didn't know where else to go... So I tried to download two songs right? Neither of them worked. So I decide to try it one more time, I try to DL "Space Cowboy" by Steve Miller Band. Well apparently every dick feaster using Limewire has mistaken the song "The Joker," for "Space Cowboy," probably because they are all massive cock munchers who mistake the intro lyrics for the title of EVERY fucking song.

So I ask my friend where he gets music from. He takes me to project playlist.com. I think "oh maybe this place is legit." 4 results for "Space Cowboy," come up. 3 of them are "The Joker." The 4th is Space Cowboy. So BOTH of us (two different comps) try to download it. Neither us can do it. What the fuck?

Where can I go now?

find the album it is on. then search for it individually quoted in google.

e.g. "steve miller band blah blah" "megaupload" or "rapidshare".

Yes. If you were looking for the Distillers second album, just google "Distillers sing sing death house" and end it with any of these three: megaupload, rapidshare, or blogspot.

all bands are filed by their first two letters...so if you're looking for lets say black rebel motorcycle club you'd click BL
and then you just look through the lj entries.

they also have complete discographies which can be found in the directory.

i rarely don't find what i'm looking for there.

you do need to register with Livejournal and join the indie exchange community in order to access the files

If you sign up and pay to either rapidshare or megaupload do they allow you to search the archives on the site?

Even last fm is good for finding links, if you look through groups at the posts or the artist pages you will find some. I got a zombies album through that

Mediafire is good. Rapidshare has a fifteen minute waiting period between downloads, but they're faster than megaupload.

I like rapidshare better anyways because they don't make you try to figure out that bullshit word puzzle before you can download.

"ENTER THIS IN THE BOX" the letters are all black and white and mixed up, like they think it's cute or something.
