I agree. Sometimes I'm at Blockbuster in line and a girl will bring a Miley Cyrus DVD to her dad and he'll be like "What do you want that for?!" A little piece of me dies inside. true, but only because their exposed to it. i dont think most parents think to expose their kids to rock music at too young an age. My parents didn't.

i'm not really knocking bubblegum pop. dude, the spice girls and girl power were fucking awesome and i wish we had something similar today.

but i think there's a difference between disney stuff today and the pop we grew up with. disney is so weird and culty and creepy as FUCK and i don't trust it.

i think it's super super great that in the mainstream there'll be a new generation exposed to the runaways, because you know all those nutty twilight fans will follow kristen to this movie.

Speaking of Miley Cyrus I actually really loved Achey Breaky Heart by her dad when I was a kid lol! The disney thing is really creepy...miley's brother is creepy too though. I liked folk rock, my dad was into it lol.

My father exposed me to The Beatles and to Bob Dylan.
It just traumatised me. Even today they give me an authentic headache.
But admittedly most of my current favourite bands can be found on the collections we always listened to during car travels.

I think i was 7 when I saw Aerosmith. They were my first concert ever...and I had to beg my mom. My dad gave my ear protection and gave me snacks in case i got bored ahhaa. I love it...I knew almost all their songs.

Oh yeah I know which road, cause all the Academys are in the same building, except Academy 1 which is next door, I just don't know whether to go upstairs, downstairs, left, right etc. Haha. There's so many different venues in one place, its weird. I assume, Academy 2, 3 and Club Academy are all in that building.
