Indeed, a piece I've planned for 5 years, I figured that was enough thought time.

Lucky you! I only know of 3 real CD shops (i.e. not department stores) in my hometown.. two of which I failed to visit during my last visit home, and the third one didn't have any Joy Division albums??

I thought it would be a "must" for any alternative store. Even department stores have it!
But that store does have a nice collection otherwise, I try not to hold this against them.

That's funny. I see Alice Cooper all the time around and about. He lives here. He's a Jesus man, now. Wears pink polo shirts and plaid shorts.

Alice Cooper being a Jesus man is what puts me off certain of his newer songs. He gets real preachy in some of them... very high and mighty for a man who wrote and sang a song about Corpse-Fucking.

These, I'm torn between exchanging them for a bigger size or trying to wear them in, they're a little tight on the top of one of my feet, but the next size up feels loose.

Train ticket could be lovely. You could describe where you were going and why along with the people you shared the ride with. That'd be more interesting than a simple list of CD's, in my opinion.

I bought some gas for my car so I can drive around at dangerous speeds... Um... Ooh!

I bought this from the comic shop the other day.

Great read, exceptional art. Visually pleasing. Even if the story was shit the art would be worth it alone.

I bought some Tofu the other day, but have not cooked it yet. I should cook it soon. So I can nom it.

They were, for about a week, but they've broken in now and they're the comfiest shoes i've ever owned! Except maybe converse.

Last things I bought were a McDonalds, and a train ticket from Nottingham. I started an essay on gender in the music industry while I was on the train.

That's a touchy subject!

Converse are awesome.

I need to buy some more Converse, cause mine are pretty much wrecked now :( and they're a little big, my feet have gotten smaller.

The Gender issue is a touchy subject, but that just means there's lots of academic writing on it, which is good for padding out a long essay. Plus, I get to read a lot of stuff on Riot Grrl which is cool.

I like touchy subjects, and I like Riot Grrl too.

My Converse are starting to get holes in them, and they're COVERED in ink from work so all the white parts are pretty much black.
