It depends. If these two bones at the back of the neck break, the person dies immediately. If not, it might take a while.

In the movie 'Infamous' it took like 20 minutes for that one guy to die, I need to find out if that's really possible.

Why does nobody ever keep the ashes?

I always read about people who keep urns and say they start to feel haunted. Shite. But why throw them in the ocean. I've always wondered what it'd be like to use them like... On a plant... In the dirt... To me it seems to make sense, a sort of returning feeling... And making new life.

I'm a planty motherfucker, I like plants and trees, especially bonsai trees.

Seriously it sounds completely outrageous to me. :/ And souls are supposed to be intangible, and what about people who're sinners and lost their souls.

from what i remember they had 5 patients that were terminally ill and they patients agreed to do it. The 5 patients were on bed that were scales. They monitered the liquid intake, sweat, and bowel movements. I think its a cool concept.

Basically: nobody's special and when they die they're just a bag of dirt and a memory. Everyone else is just a bunch of animals, just like all the other animals. Sure immediate family and friends are special TO US, but as a whole people are just scared of death cos they dont understand it and they've made up all this shit about souls to make themselves feel better, feel safe.

You believe in god, so I assume this means you worship him? A christian understands that they're alive, but they're not alive to live, they're alive becuase God made them alive and that while experiencing life they're goal is to follow god, to live every day of your life with god.
All these silly rituals and ceremonies and churches mean little to god, the only thing god cares about is YOU. Sure you fuck up, but god loves you and is forgiving.

You live without fear of death becuase you know that once you die you will RETURN to god, to heaven. Your soul is immortal and will exist with god forever, your body is a short-lived vessel.

See what I'm saying? If you FEAR you're going to hell you're probably either a faker or a heavy fucking sinner. According to god alls you need is to acknowledge your sins and ask forgiveness and live your life serving him. There's no need to fear, he wouldn't send you to hell for most things. There are MORTAL sins that can be committed, those are serious and will probably fuck you over.

Either way, what I'm trying to say is that nobody likes the idea of living for awhile and then fucking off and becoming nothing, they want to have comforting thought, and they want to feel safe. I don't believe in god or the devil, i'm not religious. My parents are christians, and they're fucking scholarly about it too. My life has been steeped in these sorts of teachings, so I have a good understanding of what christians believe in, however it's all shite to me.

I'm hardly educated, I haven't read shite on philosophy or on Darwin or anyone else. I don't believe in anything at the moment everything feels so empty to me. Moral codes and all that, it's all a human institution. To me humans are animals. He's supposed to exist but he's not spoiling anyone, he's an observer, a fatherly figure who in his own ways teaches and cares for.
