The last films I watched all the way through were...

Superman The Movie : Extended Cut (Awesome)
Superman II : The Richard Donner Cut (Awesome) (although these two are really one movie)
Superman Returns (Awesome)

AKA, The good Superman series

The bad one is...

Superman The Movie (Awesome)
Superman II (It's okay... but a lot of crap...)
Superman III (One good scene in the whole freakin' thing)
Superman IV : The Quest For Peace (Doesn't even have that one good scene)

Well, Meet The Fockers wasn't that funny, Oliver scares the crap outta me - so Im opposed to it, and wish all copies in the world to be burned, Jackass is bleh, Harry Potter is too long... thus Hollowman.

Well largely because it's a musical, and musicals tend to freak me out alltogether.

I can put it aside with animated films, cause hell, they're unrealistic anyway (Most of them include talking animals, so... them singing isnt the most unrealistic thing there)

It's not even a dislike of musicals, its a genuine phobia... they just give me the wiggins...

Somehow, also, last night someone brought up the subject of Oliver... I believe the only nice thing said about it was "Fagan is the shit though"

Because there are other, more faithful to the book versions, where no bugger starts singing.

When I am a famous movie director, I shall remake Oliver!, but when anyone starts singing they get a smack in the face with a hammer...

Except for that bitch who sings about her roses, she'll get mugged, trampled then brutally stabbed.

And another thing, Oliver is such a greedy fucker.

Wanting more indeed! tthey only have so much food to go round, They give these kids a job and a place to stay, they make sure everyone has some, but this greedy kid wants MORE, pfffft...

They're lucky they just sold him, I would have beaten him silly.

Just plain Selfish if you ask me. I reckon Oliver is the real villian of the film.

Fagin - Theif, Exploits The kids
Sykes: Murderer
Oliver: Advantage taking, gruel loving, more seeking bastard! Not content to be the same as everyone else, oh no... he has to be special..

Essentially, Oliver = Satan.

Well dear, if you actually look at it, Oliver had the right to ask for more.
Those workhouse owners were nothing but horrid bastards. They ate roast meals everyday, whilst the children that did their dirty work for them had to live on gruel
Maybe if theyd just given them a second portion of it a day there'd have been no need for all of the commotion that was caused.

as for sikes being a murderer. i dont think he would have ever killed nancy under any circumstances, it just so happened that she was getting in the way of his life.
it was her or him
he had to take a gamble didnt he

Capote
brilliant movie, really. had to cry at the end...just reminds me how fucked up death penalty is.
[/quote:165yo8bj]

I LOVE Capote. It's such a good movie. That guy, I think his name is Philip Seymore, is such a good actor. I saw "The talented mr.Ripley" the day after, he is good in that one too. Totally different:)

Last night I saw Lost in translation. So good. I love Bill Murray.

Donnie Darko. I've been watching alot lately, the only thing I don't get is why time was affected in the first place... Possibly just to make the movie.
[/quote:3dkperbd]

Go to the website...it helped me understand it more...time has everything to do with it...Example-if he didn't end up in that golf course that morning, he would have been in his room when the engine crashed into it...so he wouldn't have experience love (with Gretchen)...which some argue to be on of lifes mysteries.

I am a Sci-fi dork, sorry...I love movies about time/timing...like Butterfly Effect and Sliding Doors.

I'm not really into films like the Departed, but it was one of the best films i've seen in a very long time. I'd put that top of your list! Green Street is really good too but it has the kind of *real* violence that makes you go 'aah'

The Science of Sleep. Oddity, and for some reason, not quite as endearing as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
