My daughter's birthday is next month and we're having a rock and roll theme party. I'm trying to design a tattoo cake (because it's not rock and roll without tattoos), but I can't find the right font anywhere. I'm looking for the classic rockabilly tattoo font that's usually inside the heart banners. I think I've looked at a billion different tattoo sites and font downloaders. Does anyone know where I could find this? Preferably online.

Another question Other than swallows, heart banners, nautical stars, and anchors, what's a good classic tattoo? I need something for the middle that I can seperate from the base of the cake.

I need something that would be easy to make into a small cake though. And that isn't a prison tattoo...

you can cut a cake into shapes, my mom does it a lot, its a hobbie of hers, its difficult she will need to practice and have a steady hand its an undertaking, but cake making is fun

I can make roses out of icing, ha, haha

I would go with a heart shaped cake with the the banner and swallows on it. or even cutting the banner out with the cake (if that makes sense)

It's going to be a regular shaped cake for the base. Then there's going to be a banner that says happy birthday being carried by two swallows. then a heart banner with her name. then some random nautical stars and anchors. I just need an idea for another classic style tattoo so we can make that into her own little cake.

Stars, nautical stars, hearts, banners, thorns, swallows, leaves, flowers, webs, spiders, guitars, pirate ships, etc. etc.
It's a style of art. You could have anything you wanted be the picture. It's just the manner in which it is presented. But if you're looking to just take an idea, image google "flash tattoo" and see what shows up.

Well, nevermind. I can ask real life people and actually draw out what I'm trying to say. It's too hard with just words, I guess.

I appreciate the ideas. It's my fault though. I'm not so good at getting my ideas across without pictures.
I made a picture in paint. This is what it'll look like roughly. I just need one more tattoo for the middle.

Sorry if it's big...

i know you didn't want this but i think skull n crossbones would look good and with a bow on top would be even more appropriate coz its for ur daughter.

Maybe you could expand the heart so it takes up the middle? and then have the banner at the bottom?

Yeah, it would work, but I want her little cake to be more exciting. Not just "oh, a heart shaped cake. Neat...". My husband just pointed out that what I said was mean. I TOTALLY don't mean it that way. I had the same idea, and so did somebody else on here. I'm just kind of anal about things like this.

Thanks guys! It's so crazy that she's two. On one hand, it's hard to believe it has already been two years, but on the other hand, it's hard to believe it's ONLY been two years.

i know exactly what you mean.

tyler will be 2 in 3 weeks and being pregnant on him just seems like a blur, but at the same time him being 2 seems impossible.

How close to your due date was your son? My daughter was 2 days early, but it still seemed to take forever. That last month (well, trimester) sucked.

I thought being pregnant was so much fun. Then I got my first stretch mark. Then I had to wear maternity pants or sweatpants all the time. It went downhill from there.

I honestly didn't even feel any different for the first six months. The following three, I just felt a little tired and slow. That was pretty much it. Luckily, I suffered no sickness, stretch marks etc. I hardly gained weight either; pre-pregnancy I was around 110 pounds (about 7.8 stone). Logan's nearly seven and a half months old and I'm at about 115. Guess I had it pretty easy…

Guess I should add I was also taking Reliv and doing things like adding wheat germ to my food. And, of course, I'm sure the vegan diet helped.

I could wear my normal clothes for quite a while. I didn't even tell my parents (who I lived with) until I was 5 months along. Then I ballooned out. I went from about 105 to about 145. I was tired, emotional, and irritated. I went back to my normal weight soon after, though. I think it was because we moved to a bigger city and didn't have a vehicle so we had to walk everywhere (taking a baby on the bus sucks).

It seems that the skinnier girls gain a WHOLE lot more weight during their pregnancy and then shrink back down. At least, from what I've noticed.

My sister is smaller than I am and she only gained 19 pounds. She walked out of the hospital in her pre-pregnancy clothes. I was very jealous.
