BRODY DALLE
With her new group Spinnerette, former Distillers guitarist/vocalist Brody Dalle certainly "calls the shots." And that fact is evident from the assured lyrics of "Ghetto Love," a funky and riotous new track off Spinnerette's forthcoming Ghetto Love EP: "I'm gonna win / I never give in / I'm a girl / I'm looking for love!" http://www.spin.com/articles/exclusive-song-brody-dalles-spinnerette
Some new rumblings from the desert people. Hot on the heels of the new Eagles Of Death Metal album (out Jan 26th in the UK and a whiskey-soaked barrel of fun) comes ex-Distiller Brody Dalle and her new project Spinnerette.

It's been over a year since we last heard from former Distillers singer/guitarist Brody Dalle. But now that the debut album from her new project, Spinnerette, is set to drop in early 2009, she's back!
After a false start, the Brody Dalle-led project Spinnerette is ready to emerge. The singer says that after The Distillers broke up, she wanted to take more control of her music and the band came together rather naturally. Dalle tells NME.com that she just happened to be in a room with Eleven guitarist Alain Johannes one day and he started writing material over the songs she was working out and a new direction was born. The group initially signed to Sire Records, but Brody says that she became disillusioned working with the label and decided to put out the music independently.
